First scan: Google Play services downloads the scanner component the first time you scan, so connect to the internet once. After that, scanning works offline.
"Scanner unavailable": the Google document scanner needs Google Play services and at least 1.7 GB of RAM. Update Google Play services from the Play Store and try again. Some devices are not supported.
Editing pages: drag pages to reorder them, and use the buttons on each page to rotate it, delete it, or apply a filter (original, grayscale, black & white).
Export: tap PDF or JPG to share. Exports never have a watermark.
Your files: scans are stored only on your phone. Deleting the app deletes them, so export anything you want to keep.
Switching phones: scans are not backed up or moved to a new phone automatically. Export your PDFs before you switch phones.
Scanner Pro
The free version has no ads and no watermark, and each PDF can have up to 3 pages. An optional one-time purchase of $3.99, with no subscription, unlocks unlimited pages per PDF and batch export. Purchases are handled by Google Play and linked to your Google account. Refunds are handled through Google Play. Reinstalling the app or switching phones? Sign in with the same Google account and tap Restore, or Pro is restored automatically when the app starts. Your scans don't move with it, so export your PDFs first.
Privacy
Your scans never leave your phone. The Google ML Kit scanner sends diagnostic and usage metrics to Google. Read the Privacy Policy.
