Speed HUD does not collect or share any personal data. It has no accounts, no analytics, no advertising, and no third-party SDKs that collect data. Your trips are stored only on your device.
The app uses your device’s precise (GPS) location only while the app is open (foreground location) to show your speed and record trips. It does not request or use background location. Location data is processed on your device and is never sent to us or anyone else.
Trips you record are stored only on your device. They are never uploaded, and they are deleted when you delete the app. If you have Pro and choose to export a trip as CSV or GPX, the file is created on your device and you decide where it goes.
The app uses the network only for Google Play purchases. It makes no other network connections.
The optional one-time Speed HUD Pro purchase is sold and processed by Google through Google Play Billing. We do not receive or store your payment details. Google’s handling of purchase data is described in Google’s privacy policy.
The app contains no ads, no tracking, no analytics, and no third-party SDKs that collect data. We do not sell or share data, because we do not collect any.
Because the app collects no personal data, it collects none from children.
Always obey local speed limits. Set up the app before you drive, and do not operate your phone while driving. Place the phone so it does not block your view of the road. Speed and HUD readings are for reference only and may be inaccurate when the GPS signal is weak. The speed alert uses the number you set, not the posted limit.
